Honeymoony~ Day 2!

2 movies, 1 nice meal, 2 cups of oranges juices, 1 toilet break later, I fell into a deep slumber for a mere 1.5 hours of sleep, I awoke to an earthquake on board the flight... Oh well... the floor wasnt the one shaking... my chair was the one shaking like there is no tomorrow... apparently im seated in front of an extremely inconsiderate passenger who kept stomping on her foot rest (which was inconveniently attached to poor me's chair) like some crazy addict who cant stop shaking her legs!!!!!! I kept eyeing yj but there is nothing much he can do cuz apparently he too is suffering from the "music" composed by the lady seated on his other side who was sneezing and coughing all night long... Arghh... How I hated long flights... *tsk tsk* *shake head*

Sooooo, I watched another few movies or at least tried to concentrate while enduring the little headache bought about by the shaking of my seat and made billions of unanswered prayers for the girl behind me to just go to sleep and stop shaking.... I was tempted to just confront the girl but I withheld my anger cuz I didnt wanna spoil a beautiful start of my honeymoon...

After another meal on board the flight, we were finally reaching Melbourne about 4am Singapore time, which is approx~ 7am Melbourne time! At the passport check point, the custom office checked my passport for a very long time... I think he couldnt recognise my face on the passport because of several reasons... 1. I was quite a slim girl 7 years ago but am plump now... 2. Maybe my new hairstyle looked too weird... or I believe this is the most convincing 3. that all Asian faces probably looked similar to the Westerners... So finally after 3 minutes and asking a colleague of his for confirmation, he finally relented and let me go... -.-"

Yj and I waited by the conveyor belt which was already fully packed with human and waited as the check-in luggages starts streaming slowly out onto the conveyor belt.. OMG! Now I really understand why some people prefer to buy baggage tags since ALL baggages looks almost the same!!!!! hahhhahahas! Seriously I cant even remember what colour luggage I had checked in so I strained my already sleepy eyes and mind to try locate the luggages... Thankfully we managed to find them in mere 15mins... We followed the trail of our Tour Leader and passed the security gantry... Since we have got nothing to declare, we had to queue in front of a cutesy beagle while the little Beagle sniff our bags for contrabands and food! Lol! Now thats what I call CUTE!!! *Smiles*

On board the Tour Bus, we finally am able to relax for a short moment, but a mere 30 minutes drive later we reached our first tourist attraction in Melbourne.. We entered the St Patrick Cathedral through its beautiful Pilgram Path with a really lovely water feature flowing down the middle the stairs which leads up to the door of the Cathedral.. The exterior of the Catherdral seems normal and abit old but the interior was huge and really mysterious looking! No cameras were allowed and since only tourist visits the Cathedral early on a working day, the Catheral was serene and peaceful..

Next stop is an entirely different feel from the first.. Its the Shrine of Rememberance in commemoration of the people who lost their lives in the World War.. The whole place eludes a feeling of sadness and my eyes involuntarily shed some tears(probably due to the dry but cooling weather in Melbourne).

We stopped by the Yarra River where we went shopping instead of sightseeing for a short moment before heading for lunch at a chinese restaurant. After lunch, we visited the Eureka Tower and had a majestic and memorable view of the entire City of Melbourne!

Next stop for us is to check in our hotel at Citigate Melbourne. A nice hotel and since we are the honeymoon couple, our nice tour leader arranged the highest level room for us on the 11th floor! But the funny part is that our window actually faces the wall of an opposite building... so 11th floor with no view is almost the same as 2nd floor with no view (- . -" ) But still, its a nice cosy little room... :)

Later that night, we went for dinner with the tour group at a restaurant along Melbourne Chinatown.. As we walked back to the Hotel after dinner, we went souvenir shopping to compare the prices and ended the night with KFC for supper~
