The Proposal~

Alright, 50 years down the road, I wanna remember today, just the way it is... :)

Today, after weeks of working OT on days where I dont have classes and also on Saturday, began as a relaxing and the usually boring Saturday morning for me... Woke up feeling lethargic n started surfing the web... I could really use this day to just laze around and recover my energy for the upcoming tough weeks...

Received a call from Yj around 2pm, he was still working in his office but he asked for my plans tonight... thinking since im sluggish n all, I really rather juz slack at home like a "nua tang"... but he said, "By hook or by crook, I MUST meet you tonight..." Since its a command, i gave in and told him to drive me to his house once he finishes his work..

4pm.. Yj picked me up from my void deck n off we went to his house... As usual, without sensing anything wrong at all... I entered the house and head straight to the washroom to wash my hand n feet after greeting his mum.. strangely he didnt follow suit but rather disappear into his own room... Not suspecting any foul play, I slowly "sashay" my way around the house before heading towards his room.

His door was close (which wasnt usual) and standing in front of the door, i could feel the air-con coming out from the gaps.. (ps: he was suppose to be at work n not home so quite impossible to switch on the air-con, unless his mum switched on the air-con cuz of the afternoon sun, but thats not something she will do normally...) Thats when i realise something weird must be happening..

When i opened the door with care, yj was standing there with a ring box (we bought the ring last year) and a bouquet of red Daisies (Finally he got the right flowers, although slightly wrong colours la.. haha! My top favourite is Orange/Yellow Daisy, then Red Daisy... but still im glad he didnt buy me roses again... =P hahas!) Quite shocking for me though cuz i wasnt expecting something like this to happen on a normal Saturday... =P

Yj looks nervous with this amusingly shy expression on his face that I believe I probably wont get to see it ever again.. (^_^) Yj went down on his knees, shove (he is really very nervous) the flowers into my hand and said, "Dear, I dont have much time left... (Erm... he's actually referring to the time line left for our wedding, which will be on 16 October 2010.. and the fact that he know the both of us will be so busy with work and thus he probably cant plan for a grand proposal... rest assure he is not hinting some life n death illness/situations.. =P) So I'm proposing to you now... Will you marry me?"

Well, shocking for me, but before i could even give my answer, he was already trying to put the ring on for me.. So politely, i replied "You should wear it for me after I give my answer right?" Lolx! But his response was "Aiyah... I know ur answer la... but u wan u say lor, n he continue putting the ring on my left hand."

So I said, "Ok, YES!"

Erms... so the proposal event was a short, sweet normal ceremony, unlike what i expected in the past... Hahas! But Im officially engaged and for now, I should be calling yj my fiance instead of boyfriend! :p I rather refer to him as my "Finance"! Hahas~

Ok... enough lameness... I wish that yj n I could have a beautiful fairytale ending of being Happily Ever After~ =D
